LS idle problem, help!

Default LS idle problem, help!

got a 91 DA teggy and the car will start up just fine, then it slowely idles up to about 3500 rpm and stays around there. what the heck is wrong, i recently put it in, did i mess up the vac lines, or is it just a bad sensor or did i forget to hook something up? PLEASE HELP ME!

check your voltage on you TPS. check to make sure you throttle cable isn't too tight.

I am not sure if your IACV could cause that, i guess it's possible.

Check TPS voltage and throttle cable like ^^ said.

Also might as well do the FITV and IACV as well, pretty simple stuff to do anyway.

Check for vacuum leaks...use soapy water in a spray bottle and spray around the IM, and check for bubbles.

Also make sure that all the air is out of your coolant system.

brake cleaner works better, b/c you can hear the motor surge a little bit. if there is a leak underneath the intake manifold, how would you see the bubbles?

i personally use brake cleaner/carb cleaner

Don't use brake clean if you are in a garage. It puts out highly toxic fumes once burned through the engine. Carb cleaner is fine though.

either fast idle valve or cable is stuck open

nothing is wrong with the cable, cable is just fine.
