yea so its been rainin a lot here i checked and its not a fuse. its a gsr in a 98 civic and as soon as it stops fuckin rainin here i was gonna take the solenoid off and check it and clean it. i checked all the wiring and there arent any shorts or anything. i have only really dealt with obd0 before i got this so if anybody wanted to give me a tip on how to check the code it would be much appreciated. let me kno. one more thing is that before it stopped working all together for a couple of days it wouldnt hit VTEC when it was cold but when it warmed up it did fine. i reset the ecu and it did fine until that night when it quit. so yea. thats what i got so far.

It will never engage VTEC when cold. There's certain requirements to engage VTEC.

1. Oil pressure
2. Temperature
3. In gear
4. Hit certain RPM(4400 in a GSR)

If those things are met, I'd look at the solenoid, since thats the next step in the equation.

What OBD are you running? Search Honda-Tech to find out how to pull the codes. Its pretty simple. From there we will be able to help you more.
