LS/vtec ECU problems.
i have an ls/vtec in my 2000 hatch, it is an ls block with an ls crank eagle rods and ctr pistons and the head is a 95 gsr head with itr cams, dual valve springs and retainers, buddy club cam gears. its also got dc headers intake exhaust skunk 2 intake mani and adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
i just dyno'd my car today and it put down 160.5hp and is running very lien, and i think it should have put down way more then that, i am just curious what ecu i should be running because im not 100% sure??

Re: LS/vtec ECU problems.
that car needs engine managment in a really really bad way. There is no factory ECU that is going to run that engine correctly....
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it might need injectors too, but there is no way to know until you start tuning it..

Re: LS/vtec ECU problems.
the car currently has a p2t(99si) ecu.... it has an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and gauge so i am going to increase the psi like 10 lbs. and see what that does.

Re: LS/vtec ECU problems.
good luck with that.....
for real....you should at least put a vafc on the car. I know exactly what you are running, and I would not consider it particularly safe.

Re: LS/vtec ECU problems.
You should convert into an OBD1 then get a chipped/socketed ECU to run CROME. With that kind of modification you should get something to tune it with. OBD2 doesnt do you justice neither, since those ECU's are very prone to emission standards. Do you have an active CEL right now?
Bottom line, get CROME and talk to a tuner like MJ at Dyno Inc or mshue on here. These guys are more than capable...... GOODLUCK.
