Shifting faster will wear out your synchros faster. Plain and simple. If you shift faster with a stock shifter you'll eventually run into the same problems.

Also, don't automatically assume an LS tranny is a bad thing just because 90% of Honda douchebags say it is. Longer gearing can help more than it hurts.

Well that make's since. I tend to shift pretty fast. Do you recommend me keeping my tranny and rebuild it? Or find one with shorter gear's? I have a setup in the process: LS bottom end built for boost (8:1 compression) and a Type R head. I have a cable system BTW if you didn't know..?

Boost = LS tranny.

Rebuild it and throw an LSD in there if you feel like you'll need it.

Why do people still think boost = LS? Because you stay in boost longer? LS trannies are weaker then GSR, b16, ITR trannies. Only reason I ever used and LS is if it came with the car.

Actually, you have a valid point. Aaron's LS tranny didn't last long when he was spraying, and this tranny only has 80k on it, and it's starting to act queer now?

If you're rebuilding it anyway strength shouldn't be an issue. Any tranny can break with big additional power.

Silly short gears are not suited well at all for boosted applications.

Most drag racers I know use short gears. I don't see why you want longer gears. Main reason people go with the LS is for it's 5th gear for highway miles. But being at 4k rpms doesn't bother me since I don't have a b18a/b.

Do you have any idea of internet site's, where I can check out Gear application's and what not to strengthen the transmission at all?
