A guy on s2ki posted some vids with analysis when he switched to a shorter final drive in his S2000. On a short autocross course (less than a minute) he shifted three times with his original gearing. With the short gearing he shifted like seventeen times. Then on a road course he was banging the rev limiter in fourth and he didn't have enough time to shift to fifth before the turns. With the longer gearing he would've still been in the meat in fourth.
He ended up selling his short gears and putting stock gears back in.
I know this is different than LS/B16 tranny talk but it at least gives you an illustration. Short gears (despite feeling faster) are not always the best way to go. Theyre good for accelleration in any given gear (broken record, anyone?) but NOT for accelleration through the entire range.
GSR Gearing in my LS tranny........Sound good?
Can anyone swap my internal's in my tranny once I get the transmission?

yes i used to autox. on a short road course i was normally at the top of second till i had to hit a corner. and what is the rev limit in an s2k? if you delete the rev limit you'd be fine its a vtec engine it will be alrite up top. that is of course if it can handle the stress.
it honestly just sounds to me like somebody is too damn lazy to shift.

There could be many reasons why your wheel spins so much.

How do you know that?? Did you take a poll or something?? I have a turbo'd b16b and I shift at 8100. There is no way that a ls transmission will be a better option then the vtec transmission for racing. Hondas make there power in the upper Rpm's.
Hah, My thread has turned to SPO Tech talk. I love it, i'm seein like three different view's.
Slidings-10....Why did you quote my car as a "street car" like it was bad or somn?
