aight let me explain this the best i can to see if you guy's can help my friend out. it's a 97 accord lx but the motor was swap'd out for a 94 ex, they swap'd all the 97 stuff from the old motor and add'd it to the 94. the car run's good, but it has a cylinder #2 misfire. well that's what the code say's, so we change the plug's and wire's, we change the fuel injectors and fuel filter and it still do's it. but here is the kicker, it run's fine on all 4 cyl's when the car is at idle or if you are driving at full throttle. it only missfire's when you hold the gas pedal in one stedy place?? any clue what this could be???

 

check the distributor, its either the cap/rotor/ or the whole thing

 

Check your egr system and make sure it was hooked up properly .Check to make sure the ports for the egr system are not clogged. Also look for vacuum leaks.

 

maybe a bad o2 sensor?

 

the only code it is throwing is a 72, everything else seem's cool
