I had a similar problem but there was more smoke than oil; it turned out to be a blown/cracked valve. Something like this:

I’m gonna go with a valve guide. This would explain the noise and the oil getting into the combustion chamber. Also, plugs can foul when they get enough oil on them. Do a compression and leak down test on that cylinder and let us know what you find. Other than that, you’re gonna have to pull the head and investigate further.

if it was the head gasket there would be antifreeze in the oil or oil in the anti-freeze, sounds like a rod knock, but you valve seat could have gone bad which would account for the knocking sound and burning of oil
