honda civic ac problem

Default honda civic ac problem

i have a 93 honda civic dx and replaced the reciever dryer, compressor ,evaporator, acumalator,and still my ac doesnt work properly i drive about 50 miles one way and the ac will freeze you out.but if im setting at a light , in traffic, or in park for a period of time it blows hot can someone please help me with this problem

Definatly could be it, may also want to put some dye in the system to check for leaks.

yeah your really gonna have to dig more into depth with your problem. Sounds like to me your condenser fan isnt working and the compressor is possibly over pressurizing and cutting off. Could be a number of issues. Get a pressure gauge set and tell us the numbers...

Replace the expansion valve when you replaced the evaporator? That could cause that also.
