btw, Im a huge Mustang fan, but this is lame. Plus I hate all '05 and newer cars, they are titantic sized turds.

Now that the F-bodies are gone everyone seems to think Mustangs are supposed to compete with Vettes. Both cars are really in a class of their own right now. Corvettes are a "higher class" of automobile.
p.s. Brock, the new GT500 DOES NOT outperform even a base model C6 vette.

The 'vette will probably have the advantage on a road track, but I'd assume that it won't be by much. We'll see, the only numbers we have to discuss here are the numbers published by magazines... which we all know how horrible they can be.
I don't think people grasp the fact that a z06 cost 2x what a gt500 does. That's why the gt500 competes with the base c6...the cost will appeal to the same buyers(I'd take a base c6 though :P )

I'd bet money the difference on a road course will be pretty substantial.

69,000 for a mustang!! Thats great..
so if the dealer is doing a 20,000 markup then the gt500 is actually 49,000!! Bad ass!! 50,000 for a mustang!!
This is how I look at it. The GT500 is badass, but there's gonna be a lot of people hesitant to pay that much money for it.
As far as the new Camaro I'm thinking it's gonna get an LS2. GM IS NOT gonna put the drivetrain out of their prize possession (Corvette) into a car that's gonna cost $30K less.

I'm pretty sure the new Camaro will be a mid-$30K's car. I'd be willing to wager a V8 version will not go for anywhere under that.
The MSRP is $40K, actually, I'm pretty sure its $39,995. The dealership marked it up almost twice of what the car should sell for, not $20K. I'm honestly suprised he got one that cheap.
