I don't think we're arguing that the GT500 will be outhandled by the C6, I think that's a forgone conclusion. We're saying that the Shelby is better then the 03-04 Cobra.
We need to keep in mind that the Mustang and it's siblings were never designed to compete with the Corvette. However with the demise of the F-Body, it's the only real comparison, unless you want to toss in the GTO.

Maybe not the m3 but I'm down for an M5 or M6

It depends on what you want... personally I'd take the race car over the drag car everyday.

amen
I'd take a C6 all day over the GT500 just for the fact that a GT500 underneath all of it's paint is still a Mustang.
Comparing GTO's to Cobra's styling is really no comparison. A Cobra looks a lot meaner, and can be made pretty quick for cheap. However for a DD a GTO is greater than a Cobra anyday of the week.
Read the newest Motor Trend, I just got in the mail today. They test a new Challenger concept. 6.1 liters of fury, and just the other day while looking around on the internet I see they are starting an aftermarket for this motor.
Out of the Camaro/GT500/Challenger debate, as far as right now until there are official numbers the Challenger out does him all in looks for sure.

And people stop comparing a cobra to a vette for gods sake. Who gives a fuck if a vette is a better overall car, they arent in the same class or the same msrp. 99% of the people who buy a cobra are not taking it to road races. And stop using the played out " but its just a mustang omg!!" crap. The mustang isnt one of the best selling cars of all time because it is such garage and everyone hates them.
