Is there a Mustang Cobra coming out with the new body style or is that basically what the GT 500 is?

I don't know what it is about that new body style, I love it some days in certain colors (provided it's a GT) and then others I think it was sort of a let down. I think the last body style looked a lot more aggressive than this latest one...I don't know if they were going for a retro look or not, but I remember the concept of this car looked a lot more aggressive than the production model..

 

A retro look? Of course not.

The concept car had entirely different rims, which did look way hot and they were 20's. Plus the interior of the concept looked a lot better and its lines were a little edgier. If they would have built the concept, people would have bitched about a much higher sticker price. I do think the new car is a good looking mix of the concept, still don't like it though.

And if you guys think $60K for the GT500 is bad, what about the idiots paying $70K+ for the Saleen's? They should all have their balls removed.

Its funny how you say that because the new V6's will out perform those years GT's!!

 

Not so fast here, one of the reasons that they are being compared is that they are close in price. The GT500 base price comes in just under $43K after you add in the gas guzzler tax and a '07 Vette is just under $45K base so the price is not that far off. The reality of it is that you can get a regular C6 for below msrp without much problem at all, but in no way are you going to get the GT500 under msrp. So why is it not valid to compare the cars?
