Default I need some help diagnosing this problem of mine

Here goes, I seriously hope one of you guys can help figure this thing out as its got me stumped. If when driving the car I floor it and let up occassionally the throttle will stick, and continue revving without me even pushing on it. I will shift and the rpms will shoot up to limiter, obviously not good. I can be at idle and the rpms are stuck at 7600+, again obviously not good. I instantly shut the car down if I see its like that. It appears that my throttle is stuck open when I look in the engine bay, and yet I dont see where it could be getting snagged. I know most of you havent delt with DSMs that often but I was hoping possibly one of you is knowledgible about this stuff enough to help a guy out as this is kinda scary and im not about to blow anything cause of a stupid throttle problem.

pull of your intake piping and check it out. Could be stuck from being gunked up or something.

Yea check the throttle cables they could of been rubbing wrong and they are frayed causing it to stick sometimes.

I spent a good bit yesterday trying to diagnose what was wrong and finally got to the point where i believed it to be within the actual TB itself. Pulled the TB elbow off and cleaned up inside the TB today. Now it appears to be working fine. I havent driven it too much but the problem appears to be that the TB was just a little gunked on the walls, nothing major, but I suppose it was enough to catch it when the plate opened up far enough.
