Ok here goes. my car likes the just shut off when ever it feels like it out of nowhere. I haveing troubles depicted a pattern. it just seems to do it when ever, and when it does shut off my radio stays on and so does my dash panel.(thats about all i know)

Here are things i have fixed/changed(i have two mx3's one is junked for parts)
disty (ing module is in the disty as far as i know , same with coil)
throttleplate
tps
iac
checked all vac hoses
check wire harnesses to best of my abitly
cps
ecu
vaf
fuelrails
fuel pump
fuel filter
ing switch
fpr
the solnoid that connects the the fpr via vac hose
checked for leaks useing carb spray
...
hmm i might be forgetting some but thats all i remember for now.
ok the only new thing i found out about the problem is this.... after the car shuts of and im still rolling in gear, if i choose to downshift(and i often do to start the car back up while other tims i jjust start it up with the key) anyway when i down shift i still have loud exhaust sound. Now if the cars engine is shut down..dont ya think there should be no exhaust sounds(exhaust sound = combustion chamber is still working...right?) so whatya think about that? andmy car is super loud so theres not mistaken it.

also it ran fine for about a hour..then i shut her iff for 20 mins...ran her again and shit died in 10 mins or less

well i just realized why the exhaust is still sounding....the tranny was still turning the engine...duh.

check engine and ecm grounds is ck engine light on check for cods

no unlike some people i know how to drive stick anyway yeah no codes already scantooled it..no check light either. and i check all the grounds i could find . sorry forgot to mention those. thanx for the replys.

try cleaning the maf sensor with brake clean

umm no


that would not be smart! you will fry the sensor. Try replacing that sensor with one from the parts car. ALSO just because you changed parts does not mean the part you put on the car is not bad also.

yeah i k know..i just know my old casr ran perfect before it got reaeended...so im just assuming the parts work. yeah i dont have a maf..i have vaf..(vane airfllow) basically same thing..just gayer. switched that to.. yeah i need some luck. thanx guys.

did you try swapping the ecu?

Sounds to me like a problem with the distributor. I know you said you replaced it but like mentioned before it can still be bad.
