Default strange ticking/grinding noise(s-10)

so i just got a 94 S-10 a couple of days ago and the guy i bought it from gave me it with NO OIL in it AT ALL....and didnt bother to tell me that either. The motor that is in it is the 2.2 liter motor. It has 136,xxx miles on it and its a 5 speed.

it started making the ticking noise and it was pretty bad at first, thats when i decided to check the oil. i filled it up with some oil and it started to sound a little better(but not much),now, the oil pressure randomly raises and lowers anywhere between 60psi. and 10 psi. It makes a ticking noise constatly now and when you get into higher RPM's before shifting it gets louder sometimes and makes a metal on metal sound.

It sounds okay when it first starts up and gets worse after a while. The lower the Oil Pressure, the worse it gets. It still drives fine, it just doest accerlate as quick as it did before.

My friend had a similar problem with his and he just replaced the block because he couldnt figure out with the hell it was, i have a feeling this is what im gonna have to do.

If any of you guys have any info. that you could share it would greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time
