its either in the caliper being loose...or the strut rod moving...have someone watch as you brake from a 5mph stop...we if one wheel moves in the wheelwell when braking..if so..its a strut rod loose. just check it out real good, when you have the wheels off.

you dont have to have the car moving if it's a loose strut rod...you can just open the hood and push down on the car and let it bounce and you'll see the top of the strut moving around in the perch.....

strut rod..not stru mount. and oops..you said civic...they have a three point lower control arm..i was thinkin accord..i'm workin on an accord right now...just give the front end a good check...and see whats loose

i have the same prob, it could be that your brake pads wore the rotor wrong and now it stumbles. im bout to just get new everything
