anyone know why my engine knocks for the first 5 seconds after i turn the car on??

What kind of engine do you have and why do you think its knocking.

 

i have a d16z6, and i think it might have to do something with my oil pan leaking oil...but the dipstick says i have a lot of oil in the engine...but i duno?

 

If you have hydraulic valve lash adjustors or something similar, its probably just that.

 

Is it knocking or is it your valvetrain not having any oil for a sec because it's been sitting for a while?

 

it might be that, because the knocking isnt very loud, but it bothers me

what you are describing sounds like the bearings. mine does this on occasion and i still spray the hell out of it!
just keep an eye on the oil and keep it changed and you should be fine. now that i think about it, it almost sounds like piston slap when it first starts when its cold

but anyway you should be just fine.
