This it does. However I've seen an EG hatch with h22 and an Ek hatch with an ITR motor run. EK hatch tore it up. EG did nothing but spin, and had no chance of catching the EK in the top end.

I would have to say that the driver of the H22 hatch didn't know what he was driving.

handling in a hatch compared to a c5 vs h22 shouldnt be a concern.

its not like eg/ek handle very well anyways. but my point is...the h22 is actually tilted about 15degrees more which in turn displaces the whole weight throughout the car more evenly than any bseries. and as 0psi said...just getting like stiffer shocks/springs and you wont notice a difference.

simple fact. 2.2 > 1.8

Picking the motor you want in a honda is all determined by how much money you got, and what kinda plans you have in the future.

so if the LS motor has a better displacemnet then why not put that motor in the car with say a R head. Because doesnt more displacement mean more power. As far as money goes i have been putting money aside for awhile and have the money for the swap and just want to get the best motor for the money. plus i have heard, that b18's are better for turbos also but dont really know for sure.

i dont know what i plan on doing yet, but my main concern right now is what motor is best for the money. both of the motors cost about the same amount. as far as turbo i doubt i will go that route, i was just saying what i heard. if im wrong about the turbo though then so be it i just thought there were more of a variety for the c5 than for the h22

Any B series turbo kit with fit the c5. They arent made especially for it, however. Im pretty sure an H22 is the more expensive motor to build. And yes, you theoretically can make more power out of an LS block with an ITR head, however, unless you do it correctly, the reliability is going to nothing but ass.

H22's are cheaper! by like 2G's

SO how about this scenario....u plan on putting out 4,000 for your R swap.....why not get the h22 S spec engine for nearly the same price....thats 220 horsepower plus however much more torque....
Besides, people have b18c5 hatches around here...no one has a h22 S spec hatch....BE DIFFERENT! and pretty quick

Just because the H22 is a cheaper engine, the money spent to swap each with nice parts (clutch, mounts, axles, etc.) is about the same in my experience. And, as previously stated, handling hiccups can be corrected with a nice suspension set up quite easily.
