Actually a N20 fogger would be best for simplicity's sake.

I've heard of a few people having thier intercoolers brought into their vehicle and water cool them or have some type of liquid coolant. MR2's are made well for it, and liquid coolant, such as Nitrogen, could make some serious power changes. $0.02.

I know some people around here that have water to air Intercoolers. But you dont want the air to freeze; the moisture in the air might freeze, Not sure will happen after that.

I haven't had problems with paint or AL being affected so far. But best cooling method besides getting more effecient IC's is use co2 to cool them down.
i actually find that you're using denatured alcohol and having no issues with paint deterioration unbelievable. also, 10 bottles at what size? 10 pints?!?! i suppose it also depends on how your IC placement is. dentaured alcohol is also rough on rubber.
the thing about using C02 is that if it is anywhere near a vacuum leak or near the intake tract, you can choke the car.

I haven't seen one car running co2 have problems. I have only noticed gains in hp.

we can keep going about this, but you would have to have one hell of a huge damned c02 tank to be able to do anything more that chill an initial intake charge or to help battle heatsoak briefly. like i said, if you are near a vacuum leak or anywhere near the intake tract you could run into trouble. maybe you haven't seen one car YET...when you do, you'll know. also, can you please show me a dyno graph showing the point at which you 'sprayed' c02?!?! just wondering.

he sprayed the during whole dyno run. Might be different since the hood is open. Less chance for c02 to be sucked in.

Boosted2003, your statements are making little sense. First off, what air freezing are you talking about with water-air I/C's? No water is in the intake at all. If the I/C freezes, awesome, that's more dense that your intake charge is gonna be! It's not going to stay frozen for long anyway, as soon you start boosting hard, that thing's going to warm right up. When you shoot CO2 on it, you're essentially frezzing the I/C anyway. As for spraying C02, I guess it's perfectly plausible to do that on a dyno with an extinguisher, but I haven't yet seen a car with a system hooked up like you would water or N20...you sure it wasn't N20 he was using?

Im goin to say this one time, and who ever wants to listen please feel free. I will explain if anyone has questions. Yes I have formulas and track experience but will need to find them on my site before I get them for you, because my cpu crashed a few months back and I lost them.

PreCoolers work far better than Aftercoolers.

I know theres no water in IC. But what is in the air WATER VAPOR. This is just theory(can be wrong which) , but what happens if water vapor get to cold an freezes. (I don't this could happen) It was co2 he ran. But also a fire extinguisher would work.
