Default Honda Engine question

I have a D16Z6 engine (SOHC VTec) in the new Civic EX I just got (pics to follow soon).
Can this benefit from a head swap with a B16 or B18 or would this require an engine swap to make it a DOHC Vtec?

you can't put the b-series head on it if that's your question.

swap it for the whole b-series motor.
