I having the same exact problem. starts at about 55 mph. fucking shakes violently. I hate the fact that it could be so many different things. oh yeah it all started right after an inspection and Alignment from MOHTHER FUCKING PEPBOYS IN HAMPTON. I SWEAR TO GOD IF MANNY, MOE , AND JACK were still up on the roof, I'd go up there with a baseball bat and smash there FUCKING TEETH OUT. I think they did something to it on purpose. for one they came to and were like you have a tie rod bad that needs replacing. I was like BS let me see. I go out there and it just barely makes a click, less 1/16 play. so, $216.00 to get a car inspected. sorry for thread jacking spikey, but if you figure it out please post so I can cross another thing off the list
Also: I have a stock crx dx, which I know is not LSD. up on jacks if you turn on wheel forwards the other wheels goes backwards. so i dont think that is an accurate test.

I'm going to say your tranny might not have LSD or it might be blown. If you car is in gear and running you should not be able to completely stop one side. I also know that ever lsd tranny I've delt with, if you spin one wheel the other wheel will spin in the same direction. The way to tell the difference between LSD and a locked Diff is you can hold one wheel still and spinn the other wheel by hand on an lsd.

My brother had the same problem on his civic. When he accelerated or got to a certain speed the steering wheel would wobble and shake, it was his cv joints.

I had the same problem. Turns out that advance, auto zone, bap geon sell crappy CV axles. I went to Napa, and never had a problem since. My advice is if it has moving parts, go to Napa.
