car shakes past 50 mph
so i'm driving down va's horrible highways and all the sudden BOOM i hit a huge bump where they had patched the road. cracked my rim in two places and now if i go over 50 the car rattles my bones, just did it so the rim is still on there and holding air (for now) so i was wondering what you guys think it could be. i had two ideas on mind either i bent the rim itself a little or i bent my axle. which do you think. its the front left wheel be the way.
its a bent rim for sure, or cracked in your terms, i have two "slightly" bent rims on my integra and shook real bad but i had them rebalanced and now it shakes a little between 60-70
well i put the stocks back on and it went away so it was definetly the rim. and i said it was cracked because it has about 2 5" cracks in it now. so thanx for the advice everyone, well reassurance really that it wasn't a bigger problem. and be warned of the highway patches.. the're killer.
it wasn't a pothole. like i said it was where they had fixed a pothole or something and i was going around a turn and never saw it coming till it was too late and i can't really swerve out of the way goin 75 in traffic
or bettery yet, the absense of a pothole? so... road?
