Hi, bare with me cause I'm not much of a mechanic but I've noticed that when I start my engine it shakes inside slightly. When I look under the hood, the engine is shaking violently, not too sure what the happen is my guess is the motor mount or the IAVC.

Opinion's please?

 

I would look at your motor mounts first. Does the car seem to run fine other than the shaking?

 

The car runs perfect when you drive it, but when you start it up it shakes a lot and sounds like it's gonna cut off but doesn't.

 

any misfires? what vehicle?

check your MAF and air filter, get the easy stuff out of the way first.

 

Ummmm spark plugs or wires? That's probably your problem, you say your not verry mechanic savvy so they have probably never been changed.
