Do rx-7 have motor problems?
i build them day in and day out, the only real problem is seal tip over which happens to high milage engines. when people blow them with low milage its because they think they can boost alot with the stock fuel system and detination is a demon, 1 time detinating is to much for it, its got to be right the first time,
If you get a rotary, take care of it and check everything (fluids, levels, temps, seals) for leaks or anything out of the normal. Of course you should do this with every car, but this one will cost you more to fix
I also heard you should hit the red-line at least once a day when driving it.. I'm not an expert on it, check out one of the club sites. If you have money for a FD, get a FC.. just a thought...
EDIT: I hope you have a DEEP pocket for anything that breaks or needs to be replaced.. my friend's stock tail (one of them) was $380... I'd hate to know what other parts are......

That what I have been told many many times. Look in the Haynes manual and after like every possible problem with the car running rough or idling to high and many many others, they mention leaking intake manifold gasket as one of the possible reasons.
RX-7= Best car ever. not for a daily driver, but as for performance, my rx-7 out performs my 97 accord by a long shot. great handling and everything. bad gas milage, and you will end up smelling like gas and exhaust if you by an older one (everyone ive met would probably say about the same) they are very easy to work on, parts are expensive though. cnaces are you would end up paying a grand for an FC and a full exhaust wou cost between 1300 and 1500. FD's ive heard are unreliable but they are nice, fun to drive, and fast.
