Default motor problems

aight guys problem is this. have a 82mm ls/vtec stage 3 cams, the works. 3 days after rebuild the car was started in the morning and ran for approx. 1 min. shut off. figured out the clutch and flywheel had gone out. replaced both. finished tonight and now i will still doing the same thing run for a min and then die. the car has fuel, spark, compression, timing, everything needed. i am lost i have checked all sensor connections, all are fine. also i need to know i have a loud rod/crank knock. could this be contributed by forged products???? let me know any suggestions

It could be contributed by a badly spec'd bottom end and spun bearings maybe? The motor should NOT be knocking.

A LIGHT knock is totally normal when using forged pistons when the motor is cold. Forged internals expand with heat.

As far as your problem with the motor running for a minute and then shuting off, the only thing I can think of would be the MAP sensor possibly bad thinking it is seeing possitive pressure and telling the ecu to cut the car off (which usually takes a few seconds after sensing poss. pressure).
