Then who design the form? If you think about it its human nature to only check specific areas that are important to those people.

Do the 757 check the Central forums?
Do the West check the 757?

Unless you have the telemetry data to prove this its impossible to know the answer to those questions.

Since are talking rocket science then in theory the forum isn't adequately designed. The most usable design would be a parent to child relationship. I will assist with an example.

Regional (Parent) - This is a place where all questions can be posted that are Technical but do not follow into a specific region.

757 - "Child" only specific to that region
Central - "Same"
NOVA - "Same"
Western VA - "Same"

See with this design then my post would have only been 1 post in the regional parent. Since based on probability that most amount of members would be able to assist and reply to the post, which is the point of forums.

Automotive discussion - however it says not technical, thus mine is technical question about turning engines

Technical Talk - This seemed like a good place, but then again it also recommends posting in the regional forums and it does not say to only post in 1 region as there is a large possibility that someone might only check the 757, but what if there is a good shop in Western VA? If I do not post in Western then I wouldn't know about it or be able to get a reply as there is a chance the Western VA member do not check the 757 or even know of shops in 757.

So it is a chicken and egg design of the forums.

Since you seem to understand your forums very well, in order to get the best response for the type of post I have where you do recommend it be placed?

Technical is the most logical, but your Technical forum recommends posting in a region. Posting in one region does not solve the problem as it limits the exposure and probability of successful responses.
