You all want to know what we really need, a local 1/4 mile drag strip. This would be our legal racing and hang out every weekend or whatnot. I have thought about this for about 4-5 years, but don't have that kinda money or know how to start such a thing, but if there is someone that does please let me know. I think it would work as a benefit for us, the county, the state, and people who's life's that are being lost from street racing. The closest 1/4 strips are well over an hour away which is more that most of us are willing to travel to everyweek. Just a thought...

hey... we could always try to blitz the media and create such a bad illusion of tuners that the pubilc would go mad with fear of driving, and then present this idea to...
oh wait thats right, no one would give a shit about us.

I think that, like I said before, if we show the police we are being proactive in keeping order and involve them then they will be far less likely to ticket people for exhausts and such. The whole reason these laws were initiated is because aftermarket parts are linked to street racing. Im sure we can even make a "suggestion" of which cops we wouldnt mind help out so they arent going to be a nazi about it. No matter what, public safety always comes above stupid tickets and we will look alot better in the county's eyes if we involve them in this. I enjoy the car meets and meeting people there but there are alot of fools that show up to give their egos a boost and stupid stuff happening. That is why I have my 7 at home and bring the saturn, because I dont want a bullseye for a cop.
I also wanted to see what you guys thought about getting the dealerships involved in this. Like I said, Frederick Nissan has already shown an interest by bringing their cars to this and even if they will tag their name to it, it will give us alot more credibility with the county about putting on a legit meet and not a bunch of "thugs looking for a street race" as they percieve us now.
Just a thought.

we can fit up 800 cars easy!!!!!! ( i had to go count the parking spots)
the only downside to this, is we would need a location more in the middle of nova...like the fairfax/burke area where everyone can get to it easy or dont have to drive as far
