me and my friend thought that the parking lot in the new (still under construction) Wegmans on route 29 would be good. it's a big lot and i think most of us can fit in there only problem is who do we ask if we are allowed to be there

any comments?

nah, not at all. i remember Crossroads setup a weekly meet on fridays a while back, in a parking lot at springfield mall. they made a deal with the police to have a presence there for stupid shits, but that everyone who was responsible would not be hassled for any aftermarket shit that could be ticketed, like exhaust and suspension, etc. i was there for the first few and it went fine. a lot better than that first dragva meet where the cops basically said if you leave, they'll ticket your ass.

i know dragva isnt crossroads, but nonetheless

it'll probably work, you just gotta let the police know what you're trying to do. especially if you mention you're trying to get people off the streets from being retarded, i'm sure thats a good angle. it cant hurt to just ask.

The cops could take it the wrong way and suggest that this huge meeting of cars is a way to distribute and organize street races.

I think it would work as a benefit for us, the county, the state, and people who's life's that are being lost from street racing. The closest 1/4 strips are well over an hour away which is more that most of us are willing to travel to everyweek. Just a thought...
the reason there isnt a drag strip anywhere close is that people would fucking hate it. think of how many people complained for one night in the fairfax towne center. nobody wants cars racing near them, especially when some of them may have no mufflers at all. ever noticed how the drag strips are pretty much in the middle of nowhere?

we can fit up 800 cars easy!!!!!! ( i had to go count the parking spots)
sounds like an idea. there used to be decent meets up in Maryland and a bunch of people were still willing to go from the area (no not gayass rockville, that place hasnt been good for a long time if ever). i dont think reston is too terrible of an idea. either way it goes, it sounds like something to consider.
