Future Plans for upcoming DragVA meets

i know dragva isnt crossroads, but nonetheless
it'll probably work, you just gotta let the police know what you're trying to do. especially if you mention you're trying to get people off the streets from being retarded, i'm sure thats a good angle. it cant hurt to just ask.

The meets that Crossroads setup were actually creating some business for the silver diner too so thats something to factor in.
The things I didn't like about those meets were... that it was at Springfield Mall (kinda ghetto now), turn-out wasn't the greatest, people would meet (and fight and race) up the street at Maleks, soiled daipers in the parking lot. The Crossroads meet was almost shut-down too because of underage drinking, somebody smoking weed, or something dumb (I dont remember). The cops didn't give anybody crap unless they drove like idiots though.
The crossroads meets were nice and relaxed which was a refreshing change. It failed because it wasnt big enough but there are good points to take from it.
1.) Property managers backing to kick people out (s/he gives the authority for you to be his voice
2.) The organizers acutally managed the meet and gave ground rules for comming and kicked people out that were breaking the rules.
3.) Keeping the police in the loop. The only time the police bugged us was when it was past the predetermined time for us to be there. Never had any problems or exhaust tickets from what I have heard.

Write down their plates and tell the cops that are probably right outside. and make a list of "banned cars" or w/e....pretty sure you guys get the idea
Regaurdless what we do. We are going to have loud exhausts and bov's. I know my 240 spools uber fast on my T28 and my bov is very loud. We can't defeat this but it's nothing different than driving through your neighborhood.
What am I saying? I think we should police ourselves. I know it spoils the fun..Ug I have to deal with a richer. Oh I have to deal with joe ass hole. My point is be friendly ask them to stop. You don't need to gang rape somebody but you can use numbers to scare people off. I think it's funny we could do this calmly in Cali but people are to stupid here to chill out and go somewhere else to get into trouble instead of getting the group into trouble. Oh well that's another state...LoL.
What should we do? Were modified cars guys. This should be uber simple. An organized car show. Maybe even a roller dyno for shits and giggles. Give the kiddies something to see. If the community comes out to see they'll stop and shop. Car shows always bring a croud. I say with proper advertisement and some sponsors and Invite Everyone not just imports or domestics but everyone and have a few classic cars for the old timers I think we could increase sales and what not that way. I mean I have a shop that I could get parts for...it would be after the even for "said car" but I mean gift certs and stuff. It's just a thoughts. I'll keep tabs on this.

i think that would be a good palce....set it up with cici's and be like friday nights you'll get mad mad money...let us sit in your parking lot!
the big thing to remember is to cover your butt on all sides with a meet like that.
1.) Get clearance from the resturant
2.) Get clearance from the manager of the parking lot (sometimes different from #1)
3.) Let the cops know you will be there, that you have clearance, and that you will be enforcing the rules ahead of time so that they wont bust up the first one or two.

yeah CI CIs is a good cheap place to eat with alot of people there on the weekends and a big parkin lot plus the cosco parkin lot too.....if we could get permission and organize something.....that would be a pretty good spot, its right off of rt.50 and rt.28 and near rt. 29 and rt. 66 so i mean people can come from all over and still get there pretty easy.
Agreed that ricers and the like are giving us a bad name.
So heres how I see it. We either use the basement at FFXTC or the garages out in reston (some place where we can limit the access). Block off the entrance to that particular level, like the basement at FFXTC. Use some sort of identification like a sticker or pass. Keep the numbers down (maybe a sign up list). And not have it at regular intervals. Have set meet times like 7:30-10. That way we can notify whomever with specifics so that they know exactly whats going on. Basically we just need to be more organized. I think that enough people are out for a good time that we can put something together. I'll be willing to help out where needed.
Thoughts?
