no, i didn't speak to her cause everybody was going up there to try and talk and she said, "nope, go sit down." whack....i had no lawyer. i think the representation is because around here there are so many f'n people in court that they don't have time to deal w/ everyone and obviously the people that pay for a lawyer get a chance. the judge listens to what you say and so does the prosecuting attorney. make it good. the judge will usually ask if she thinks that's a good punishment or whatever.

I understand that. I would like to just plead my case on my own and see what happens. If I am found guilty I will ask for an appeal and then get a lawyer.

lot of money if you don't think you'll get it though. it's a risk, but mine was worth saving the $1000. especially since you can always appeal it
