Well the way I took it is that that's all he wanted to do for the exterior because he also said swap the hood out for a 2.5RS. It just seemed like he said that because a lot of people are comparing exteriors, so he said what he'd do if he had a WRX

Either way it's a hard decision IMO. I absolutely love the GLI's. My fiance was gonna buy an 06? (newest one) Jetta. There was an 05 GLI with 1600 miles on it. Looked brand new, but the warranty was absolute garbage because while only having 1600 miles it was still used. What's the point of buying a new car if the warranty sucks. I was disappointed.

 

Had brand new GSD3's on there and now have Kumho MXs. None of which were remotely bald. More power maybe, but unlikely.

 

Why is the car worthless? Expand on what you believe makes the GLI "worthless" please. I am by no means here saying the WRX is a worse (or better) car, but neither are worthless.

 

Damnit Joe. Tell Mandy to get a used R32. What was the dealership trying to pawn off as the warranty on the used GLI? It still should have carried the remainder of the factory warranty (4yr/50k mile)

It's just a pontiac. I could see if you had a Dodge Neon, but its just a silly old TA. You need to run the formie on the highway again before you get your longtubes and before my garage is built.

Second the gli is underpowered and has bad handling. The wrx as far as performance and handling is much better. Im very disappointed in the vws quality as far as the steering wheel starting to unthread and the seats as well. Also there are now 6-10 glis in my town. Ive always been about having something a little different and well i made a mistake on this car. For the money I paid for this car i could have gotten something much better. It was my fault for being in such a rush to buy a car and making the wrong decision.’

As far as anyone looking into buying one my opn. would be to get the wrx it is an all around better car and more fun to drive. If you want "looks" get the gli.
