Second the gli is underpowered and has bad handling. The wrx as far as performance and handling is much better. Im very disappointed in the vws quality as far as the steering wheel starting to unthread and the seats as well. Also there are now 6-10 glis in my town. Ive always been about having something a little different and well i made a mistake on this car. For the money I paid for this car i could have gotten something much better. It was my fault for being in such a rush to buy a car and making the wrong decision.’

As far as anyone looking into buying one my opn. would be to get the wrx it is an all around better car and more fun to drive. If you want "looks" get the gli.
1. The wrx hood is not ugly.
2. The GLI is not underpowered and handles quite well actually. The wrx needs tires before it'll ever handle well.
3. The seats are Recaros. They are definetly not something to dissapoint.
4. The GLI is not a special model. They were not limited edition like the 337, 20ae or R32.

It's not that it allows 'em to. It's that they do. I'm not going to be doing any awd burnouts, but they do spin when I launch. There is traction control to take care of snow/rain conditions.

Which is AMAZING!

I've driven an R32 in snow and it's a wonderful experience. I've also seen some amazing videos basically demonstrating back road rallying in snow/ice. I wish that instead of dumping retarded amounts of money into LSD and different gearing, that I would have just doubled it and had the first silverstone gray AWD 1.8T GTI in the country.

LSD is still great though.. Increased handling dramatically!

Anyway, if you're having problems with your GTI, and it's still under warranty.. you need to take it back and have whatever's wrong fixed! Don't take no for an answer! If you put software, suspension, and a turbo-back exhaust on it, you won't be disappointed! I'm almost willing to guarantee that it will be one of the best and most well rounded cars you'll ever drive for the money.

We drove mine to Wintergreen and it snowed while were were on the mountain. I was a little scared about driving on the GSD3s in the snow, but it worked just fine. The 350z and mini cooper had some problems with the roads that weekend, but slow and steady was all that I needed.

all a matter of opnion. Frakley 160hp to wheels maybe is underpowered. The body roll is horrible deffently needs sway bars.
and the seats are a great dissapointment im sad to say recaros are not what they used to be im having stictching issues both on the seats and wheels.

Get the seats and steering wheel replaced under warranty. If you dislike the recaros so much I don't see how you'll like the wrx seats. They are not a better seat.

My GTI made nearly 180hp (179.x) to the wheels stock (and 189.x ft lbs). How much power do you think a WRX will put to the ground? A rear sway bar makes all the difference on a mk4 jetta/golf.

I think you need to relize that you bought an economy car and it'll need some aftermarket help to make it handle like a sports car. The wrx is going to be the same way.

I see the GLI as nothing more than a 1.8T Jetta with some goodies.

I would never put it in the same class as an R32 or something that was made for a certain purpose.

And that is definetly what vw intended. With a chip, and exhuast they can be a 13 second car. They handle really well with suspension as well.

Warranty isnt covering it. My vw dealer sucks a cock

What year gti.. i really dont think im making more then 165whp

I cant mod this car i really dont think its worth it. An r32 would be worth it to turbo/supercharge but thats about it
I am in no ways aruging(sP) with you im just saying if i had to do it all over again i would have gotten a wrx
