Whats a good beginner car?
I also vote for 89-94 manual 240SX. Cheap, RWD, good on gas, decent power stock, since they've gotten popular the aftermarket is as damn near as large as the Honda. Also you dont have to worry about swapping it for big power down the road, the KA24(D)E are both great engines for turbo, or some bolt-ons and enjoy learning how to really drive. They're not bad on insurance either, it's a win-win situation with it.
And I miss the bejesus out of mine

Buy the cheapest thing you can find that will run, spend a little ensuring it will stay running, then save the rest for your next vehicle because no matter what you get, you will get something else.
a 240 (any year) would be good
you can put so many diff motors in
-sr20
-rb20,25,26
-LT1, LS1 ect.
I's sorry but I don't think many people would call you a ricer if you rolled up in a 240 w/ an LT1 in it!!!!!!
