you are correct.

not.

apparently you have never worked on a 2.5 probe/MX-6, cause it is a DOHC engine, with three cam gears per bank, six total (one that is driven from the timing belt, and each cam has a gear to time them.)


want me to name more engines that are a DOHC but only have one cam pulley? i have a list....

The suspense is killing me. There coudln't possibly be any dohc motors with only one cam gear. Post up a list please...

subaru 2.5 (the 2.5 RS, some of the foresters, some legacy's)
Toyota 3.0 V6 (camry, pickup)
Toyota 2.2 I4 (camry, RAV4, Celica)
Mazda 2.5
one or two of the Kias (if i recall....been a while)


those are just the ones i have worked on within the last two months that i can recall off the top of my head. i am sure there are more.

some of the 2.0's in the probes were like that, as were a few of the other lines around those years.


i still like seing "kia motors" on the firewall of the festivas.....
