i doubt that you will be able to win.. i havent really heard of anyone winning a case that happened on that road.

 

I just found out that CT has made radar detectors illegal too.

And on a side note don't speed through Rhode Island. I made a trip from NN to Portland Maine last week and of all the states I saw, Rhode Island had the most cops out and they were knocking down speeders left and right. I set my cruise control for 70 (5 over) and passed a cop, who I didn't see until I was right on him. Then about 4 miles later this SUV flys by me. I'm thinking, hmmm I'm suprised the cop didn't pull him. Sure enough the cop runs up on him waits a second and flips on the lights.

In conclusion Rhode Island ownz speeders.

 

emporia is cop hell i thought everyone knew that, i was just on the outskirts of the city doin 75, with 3 other cars, cop coming the other way spun around and caught up and pulled just the first guy hahahah

 

Pay the fine and move on with life. Emporia is the absolute worst cop town in the state. I was in a vehicle doing 3 miles over the limit, and the driver got pulled, and ticketed, and lost the case.
3 weeks later, same fucking thing 3 miles over...repeat story.

A large majority of their disposable income is from traffic violations. You can see the the local gov't is well taken care of, as you will see, the rest of the town is like country ghetto.

There is only one bar in the town, and its a restaraunt/bar combo. They do not allow traditional bars there.

Never heard of any bargaining, or dropped charges relating to traffic violations in Emporia.

 

Emporia and Prince George County have the worst cops. I got pulled in Emporia on Valentines day a couple years back for speeding. Then in Prince George County I was keeping up with 2 cars that were doing about 80 in a 65 we passed a cop and the cop pulled me and the mini-van that was in front of me. I got a ticket for following to closely and speeding, went to court and got the following to closely dropped.

 

Yeah, I got the same ticket. Following to closely and speeding. But I don't see how the cop could see me. So, you don't think I should fight this at all?

 

Have you seen anyone post a GOOD outcome for tickets relating to Emporia????????

The 3 miles over shit shocked me too, then it blew my mind when it happened again to the same guy, by a different cop in Emporia.
