honest thought on the srt4
Anthoer great thing bout the srt4. is its engine, its built very well and you can throw down 450+hp on stock internals
the motor was actually Designed by Mitsubishi before the evo 8 came around, Mitsu was thinking of using that motor as a platform for a EVO generation, but passed it on to dodge to build, so dodge put it in a neon/pt cruiser frame, and deemed it the first SRT. I have gotten 32mpg highway because i rerouted my vacuum lines to get ride of the horide part throttle boost when barely pushing the gas. Also people have installed cruise control systems on theyre SRT's using Jeep liberty parts because once again it uses some of the same components as the SRT-4/neon/pt cruiser.
OH and Darrell Cox Racing is already got theyre hands on a Caliber SRT-4, with minimal mods like exhaust and intake and up'd boost theyre over 300hp. I'll post a link to clarify.

Mine put down 235hp and 265tq stock. They are very quick and have the same build quality as a WRX.
They didnt have cruise or rear power windows to keep cost down. Brand new fully loaded ( sunroof, kicker system) they were still cheaper than a WRX.
WRX are crap with the interior and the seats are not as comfortable or as supportive as srt-4 seats. The stereo is louder and better in the SRT-4 over the wrx. I also seem to remember my SRT-4 had a boost gauge but the WRX I looked at didnt.
My point is yeah no rear pwr windows sorta sucked and no cruise sucked on long trips but overall its still a great car.
How are you going to say that they have the same build quality and then in another sentence say the WRXs interior is crap. I would take a WRX interior over a neon interior any day. The white faced gauges make me wanna puke, the steering wheel is ugly as hell and everything in the dash just looks cheap. I never liked WRXs until my husband got one and I will never own anything other than a Subaru again because of the quality....but that is just me. Subaru does not make anything without the bells and whistles (except the "Tuner Ready" TR, which still has power windows, power locks, and keyless entry. Not to mention Subarus Safety ratings. So the build quality is the same?? If I pay more for a car, personally I would like to think that the quality of it would be better than that of a cheaper car.
theyre not white face gauges to be correct, and if you want great build quality go by a Volvo. But im not going to compare a Volvo to your Subie or your Civic or your H2, you gotta take each car for what they are and not compare them. I hate it when people put cars in comparison. Everyone has theyre own opinions on each car, and until you actually drive that car and make your own then shut up please because your not helping the orginal topic. Everycar has theyre perks and some dont.....live with it damn.
