When I totaled my del sol last summer, it was towed to some god awful junkyard about 45mins away from my house..? It was really stupid. I had State Farm at the time, they told me they would CALL ME 48 hours before they were sending an appraiser so that I could go get all the stuff that I wanted off of the car. Well I didn't hear anything so I called and they informed they had ALREADY gone to appraise it and someone was coming to get it at 8am the next morning. This is at like noon on the day before. I was so pissed. It ended up working out though becuase the insurance company appraised my car WITH the aftermarket stuff and actually gave me more money- however, I drove my little ass out there and jacked EVERYTHING that I could. The junkyard was so small, a really run down place, so they helped me and didn't ask any questions. I took the "good" set of tailights and replaced them w/ my original cracked ones, took the wheels (the thing was sitting on white wall 13s when I left LOL), took the seats, stereo, intake, everything I could get my hands on basically. They never asked any questions, and I made about a grand off misc parts. Just make sure to stay on top of the company and don't let them sneak anything by you!

No. The notion of buying is back was never mentioned. I assume they never asked because of the amount of damage the fire caused.

 

well a fire, in my opinion, is probably going to be handled a little differently than a typical accident.. but with that said, I think they still should have given you the option.

 

Well then again, I never mentioned wanting to buy it back. I'm sure if I had tossed out the idea, they would have opened the option. I didn't want the car.

I took off the rims, spoiler, cd player, and speakers out of it. I left it on 3 steelies and a rim with no tire. The truck driver didn't know the difference.

the title if u have no liens to it u keep
if u have a lien or bank the check goes to them what ever is left is yours

Not like you would have been able to see much. It was too dark. Didn't even know the passenger door was all messed up until we got it home and in the garage where there was some light.

Adjuster just called, the car has to be at a body shop before they can do anything. They said they work with Coxtons. Anyone have any suggestions on the penninsula beside them or are they fine?

Off to get another car now ...
