Depends. If I just buy another car then yes I would. But to buy another one and get the parts to make it look like my old car (ie the front end) and get it painted I'll probably break even at best. Shouldn't go that much in the red though, so it's not all bad.
edit: was yours originally a 97-98 or was it converted?

New = 1995
New one has ugly ass blue interior, so there won't be much left on the old car. Thank God that one had a black interior.
