I smell lawsuits and insurance claims

Hey at least that truck driver didnt hit u and keep on going without stopping! Or did it?!

I had a 18 wheeler hit the side of my car and knock me into a left turning lane and under a ford torus back in 2001 on feb 22nd. That was the worst day I can remember with cars. I lost my $2,000 stereo system up in flames and I almost but did not get a ticket for rear ending someone. The truck never stopped needless to say. Probably never realized he hit me, even though he hit me so freakin hard.

yea it stopped, the driveshaft fell completely out, it was the second half after the center bearing that fell off

The truck is still on the side of the road near the scales on 81 south lol.. or was at about 3:00 pm..

Which place would you guys recommend for body work?

Euro Specialties

-or-

Perfection Body

We better get a free rental car outta this from the dumbass trucking company, since they obviously didnt maintain their truck, the thing looked like a total POS...

Oh yea, several other cars were damaged by the flying driveshaft, and one white van almost flipped over from swerving in the median.. Lucky it didnt bounce and go through the windshield really...

Garan truck drivers have to do a check of I believe 100 different things each time before they start they're truck. If he did not do that or drove the truck after one of those many things did not pass the check, he can be fired from that company and you can sue.

Eh don't wanna get anyone fired or sue anyone...

It should be the companies job to maintain the trucks, dont the truckers just drive them? I dont know how that shit works but car is gettin fixed at euro specialties or whatever..

My friend just got his CDL and just graduated his truck driving class. he was telling me all the steps they have to take before they take a truck onto a trip. Any trip. The trucker does the check list and informs the company of any problems or takes care of them if he can. Some companys have different rules but every truck driver HAS to check a certain check list, and if one thing does not pass, they can not drive.

My dad is a Mechanic (Was once a driver) working on 18 wheelers, the engines, and turbos. He said there really wouldn't be much of a law suit there. Why? Because it happens at times. Not neccesarily that it wasn't put on right or whatever.

Truck drivers check their tires and things but they can't tell if they're driveshaft is going to fall out.

I mean a lawyer could find a loop hole I'm sure but it would cost more money then most people have to continue the case until a verdict is reached in your favor.

Ok I feel stupid now, I thought or assumed Garan said he was hauling drive shafts. I did not think a drive shaft could actually fall out of a truck.
