I think I'm ready.
There is a really good article in grassroots this month about how nasa does their comp school. I was pretty scared when we walked in the classroom and they said grid up and race for 30 minutes without saying anything else!

It was the cover story for last month's issue. (I got the new issue 2 days ago.)

LOL,

Kevin, nice new whip... i've drooled over E30 M3s for quite a while!

BTW, the raSEcaR does not need to be any louder. Of this, I'm 100% sure.

I've done a Chin event in December... great event, tons of seat time. It's a new experience to think "hey, I'm getting tired, I'm gonna go in, grab a drink and then go back out... whenever I feel like it" I did 3.5 hours of tracktime in one day with them. That said, it's ridiculously cold then and that really beats you up at a track day much more than you'd think. Windows down, 20 degrees, 120mph redefines the term "cold".

Jon, how much tracktime is available for the friday session? Is it an open session for all drivers, or do they separate racer practice from HPDE 3ers?

Depends upon the event. Usually it's 2 or 3 groups alternating throughout the day... so, lots of track time.

If you know the right people, all it would cost for a NASA event is gas to get there, plus money for food.
Crash on the floor in someone's hotel room, and free to get in to VIR.
I have tested, and proven this theory.

Plus, with NASA, you can work two weekends and then drive a free weekend:

Good stuff,
