Default What head package should I buy?

Ok I have an ls turbo setup with wiesco pistons and eagle rods and Im looking to get a head package but Im not sure what I should buy. I have looked at crower and for cams, retainers, and springs is about 780 bucks. Any input will be appreciated.

You mean Gude? I remember they bs'd about making items for the d17, and when they finally made cams and everything, they didn't make any power.

Thanks...Gude. I've heard some things about their performance but I've also heard some stories from folks that their great too.

I was just throwing out the suggestion.

if you are looking to stick with the LS turbo setup (thank god)..id go with crower...50+ years making performance products across all platforms..and they have a great track record when it comes to cams..

id go with : Crower turbo cams, dual valve springs, titanium retainers, and then go with 1mm oversized valves on the exhaust side...with a decent port n polish, and a 3 angle valve job...your cfm's will be pretty high with that setup...as well as if you upgrade your manifold (edelbrock victor x)....but thats just my opinion.

Dump the ls head all together and get a b16 head with some type R or just some GSR cams. that to me would be better than dumping 12-1500 in to a ls head that's not going to make near the same power.

I would go with importbuilders.com valve springs and retainers.

some people dont want to build their motor that way...and who's to say a built ls head wont flow as good as a b16 or GS-R head? its all about preferance..for the amount of money you are using to build the ls head..its almost the same amount as buying a GSR head...ls vtec conversion kit,p72 ecu,and then getting a vtec distributor, because u know they dont come with them...ohh yea, lets not forget, getting a GSR or Type R water pump, oil pump, timing belt..etc...it adds up..and then lets not even go into doing all that..and then trying to build a vtec head...its all preferance.
