VW GTI idling and not starting problem
So I have this weird problem with my car....I recently installed a eclipse double din navigation unit and ever since i installed that so many things have been going wrong. My subwoofers go off for no reason and they hit harder then they ever have but at parts of songs without any bass. so I just disconnected the amp wire from the subwoofer. The unit makes a whiny noise and it gets louder and faster as I hit the gas. I had this installed at tweeter and they told me that the unit is messed up and I need to get a new unit because the connections are fine. Then whenever I drive my car in the warm weather and I have the AC on after a extended period of time like 30 minutes of driving my car will start to idle. it will idle at around 1000 rpm when it is completely stopped and while doing this the navigation unit will turn on and off several times. When I stop my car and turn it off the car wont start again unless I jump start it. I have had to do this 3 times in the past 2 weeks.
I dont know if any of this stuff matters but here is some more info about my car that might help people help me figure out what I can do to fix it.
My AC in my car isnt as cold as it once was
I just got my oil change at VW done and they didnt tell me their was anything wrong with my car.
I havent replaced the cone air filter in my intake in a little over a Year
I just got a new battery from Sears a die hard international
If anyone knows anything pleaseeeee help me!......Thank You.

Re: VW GTI idling and not starting problem
you are running too much shit with too little power, buy a capacitor. it helps to regulate power.
the whine that sounds like a supercharger is more than likely a bad ground.
in other words whoever installed it probably dicked up the job pretty good
