Default Starting problem

My gfs 02 Sentra Se 1.8L Twin cam.

We tested the battery 12.50 volts
We tested it under load (starting the car) 12.20 volts

We jumped the car, it starts and the alternator is charging the battery at 14.20 volts.

It wont turn over at all. As soon as we go to start it, the dash board lights just cut on and off and you can here a clickin noise. Sometimes faster then others. The head lights are dim, but the battery is still at 12.50 volts. What could the problem be.

The car starts up perfectly when its jumped, but why would it still show 12.50 volts if it wont start the car. Could it be a dead cell?

How's the terminal connection? If it's corroded, it might not be a good contact. Try cleaning it and making sure it's a good contact. Good luck.
