yeah try carb cleaner, if the rpms go up youv'e found your leak

i'm confused. i think it might be my idle control valve... does that sound familiar?

also chk the rubber intake hose going to the t-body. I had a gti with one torn and the car drove funny and would die if in reverse, since the eng would tilt and open the hose up.

okay took it to a dealer... found out it's the mass air sensor. ~$400. not in my budget, but oh well. it had oil on it (i'm guessing that's not a good sign). is there a way i can just clean it off, or is it toast? thanks
