either weld or use a bulkhead fitting, I have gone the JBWeld route, never again... lol

MIG is perfectly fine.

Well, from my personal experience, it does not hold up to oil, vibration, and heat..

Mine started seeping oil, then eventually cracked.. I tried reapplying several times, same result.. it was also supported by a threaded fitting in the oilpan, still failed.

It may work for you, you may have been lucky, but it is not a reliable method, and its just not the right way to do it.

Weld/Braze it.

+1 I hate doing shit the easier way, and the couple times Ive resorted to it, Ive always had to go back and redo it the right way. Either cuz it had to be fixed or my OCD when it comes to my car wouldnt let me keep it on there half-assed. Right way the first time always saves time, money, and headaches in the long run.
