check out those sites man. cost wise, this ranges between $1000 to even $3000. It just all depends what parts you decide to use. You get what you pay for. You cant get too cheap with tuning. That's what makes or breaks your set-up. SAFC is not enough......

 

I currently have a Turbo D16y8 CRX with the 14b DSM Turbo.

It spools up very quick.

First thing first. D16y8 oil pumps are quite restrictive but do-able.

Any engine with 106k can have excessive wear and tear or normal. I would say, do a compression test and if you havn't had a timing belt/water pump change, do so.

Now, If your on a budget for fuel management. I would either get your ecu socketed/chipped (im not to sure on how tuning goes for obd-2 cars) and get some DSM 450cc injectors and do that. As many people said, Fuel is important.

You can keep A/C, just get some charge piping custom done OR find a kit that retains A/C.

The DSM 14b turbo and HF/CX/VX Stock exhaust manifold with turbo adapter plate are decent setups, before you put the manifold on, port it to match the exhaust ports on the head (because the manifolds ports are usually slightly smaller)

The 14b doesn't have a nipple or anything for the wastegate line, so you can either tap into your charge-piping or you can tap a fitting in the compressor housing. This turbo is also water-cooled so you'll need about 3/8inch coolant hosing and about 10 feet of it, 11 feet to be safe.

Overall the turbo kit is easy to install. Good luck, Def. hit up D-series.org, everyone there is pretty knowledgeable and like to help out.

Oh, and having to reclock these turbo's is usually normal, becuase of the oil line going to the oil pan gets kinked/crushed on most honda's crossmembers.
