Relocating a battery to the trunk?
Thanks PA, should I just ground the factory battery cable to the chassis in the front and separately ground the battery in the rear? Instead of running two wires back. Thats how ive always done it when I add a second battery.
So basically just hook factory +terminal to kill switch, then from kill switch to the + on the back battery? I just figured it wouldnt be that simple.
After some searching I found the easiest solution is to get a distribution block for the positive wires and run them all there. Easier to convert back this way too (which probably wont ever happen).
Hopefully this is right. I forgot the fuse in this drawing

Here's what mine looked like when it was all said it done, I didnt do the install of it, a VW guy , nissan guy ,and a honda guy did it for me. It was a Taylor Kit. pretty much took out the hot terminal(on my SR theres a screw that holds in all the cables that need power, and the one terminal that gose to the batt). and took out the ground. ran the cable from the bay, through the firewall, in the cabin to the trunk. mounted the battery, and made a good ground.
circled is where the old hot terminal was, the red cable is the new one that goes to the trunk.

thats the finished one, but I still need to get a box, and make a breaker switch for it..
