Rear speaker upgrade.need suggestions
hey everyone. i thought i'd upgrade my rear 6x9 speakers in the civic. i already installed a kenwood deck. i just wanted to see if anyone has done this install in a 96-00 civic. i'm not looking at alot of power. just 170-250 watts. also how big should the mounting depth be. most of the ones i've looked at are around 3-3.5 inches. is it a hard install? would i need an amp if i just got 2 170 watt 6x9s? i dont know what brand i want, any suggestions would help but i'm looking to find some on ebay for under $50.

i install audio equipment for a living. so i can help you out if you have any troubles. is you civic a hatch and coupe?
hatch - just have to pop off speaker covers and take out screws. depth is not an problem
coupe - must remove the whole rear deck cover, might have to take out part of the seats. depth of speaker is also not a problem
i would suggest some rockford fosgate power series 6x9's. you dont need a amp but they would sound alot better with one.
