Default PROBLEM!!!!!!!!

i was driving tonight came down to the bottom of a hill, slowed down, went to press the gas again, and it wouldnt go anywhere. i pulled over. turned off the car, started it again, it idled normal, it was in park i pressed the gas no response, neutral same, drive same... i left it in drive and the idle still moved it but it would go anywhere.

no check engine light (dont know if it even works though)
i got a oil light when i went around a corner but never stayed on, so i figure its throttle or tranny but im retarded when it comes to actually fixing a car unless its simple to do. any ideas?

Sounds like the throttle cable may have either broken, come loose, or gotten hung up. Only other thing I can think of would be the TPS.

Will the engine rev up when in neutral?

I would definitely say it's the throttle cable. It's probably come loose from the pedal or the TB. or just broken

you can pop the hood and try to rev the engine using the throttle body itself. if it revs up noramally it's something in the cable

I agree with the throttle cable idea. I don't know that going downhill had anything to do with it though, that part doesn't seem to fit. Check all the connections from the throttle body to the pedal
