Default Poor man's type -r build

i have a poor man's type-r in my 2000 ex coupe.
b18c1 block
b16a head.

the car isnt slow but i just want more power out of it without boosting it. one of my buddies suggested a skunk 2 intake manifold for a significant power increase. i have the stock b16a im on there now. any help would be much appreciated.

build the head...get a nice port and polish and you'll see a pretty good gain

with a bone stock head, your not going to be gaining anything by adding a big tb. sure the increase in plenum will help with the breathing of the motor, but to much air flow will cause the airs volocity to slow down. this is where adding bigger injector and big cams would come into play.
