are you gonna use a 19 or 22 tooth water pump ?it is stamped on the water pump gear. i woudl say the one on the motor shoudl be a 22 tooth since its a gsr bottom end,if so you are definately gonna need a gsr belt

i know all the vtec motors run the 22 tooth ,probly because they push more water so i woudl go get a 22 tooth if you dont have one and a gsr belt and you shoudl be ready to go.

p.s. the 19 tooth are for ls motors and b20

technically they will work, but its not the best combination.

LS rods are the longest of all the B-series motors, which makes them the weakest as well.

you do the math.

you do the math.
ls rods are actually shorter than gsr rods, do your research!
the stroke of a gsr is 87.2 MM with a rod lenght of 5.429
on the contrary the lenght of the ls rod is 5.394

most people think that ls rods are longer but its the stroke of the ls that is greater than the gsr , not the rod lenght.
the stroke of the ls crank is 89 MM
giveing the ls 1.8 more mm of stroke making up for the .035 diffference in rod lenght.

so just use your gsr rods if you are using the gsr crank, because that will work out the best for you unless you get a ls crank and then you can put the ls rods and crank in the gsr motor.
